FC Seoul’s captain and midfielder Ha Dae-Sung has decided to stay at FC Seoul for the upcoming 2013 season.

After spending a brilliant season in 2012, he was targeted by various clubs abroad. At least three clubs made official offers; Standard Liège from Belgium offered transfer fee of $1.2million and Croatian giant GNK Dinamo Zagreb made a $1.5m offer. There were also interests from the Middle East; El Jaish SC from Qatar, which has been interested in the South Korean since 2012 summer, made a $2.5m offer whiling promising to pay $400m in total of three years to the player.

Although Ha Dae-Sung was also enthusiastic about a move to oversea, FC Seoul’s manager Choi Yong-Soo strongly requested the Seoul’s keyman to stay. After long discussions, Ha Dae-Sung has decided to commit his future at Seoul at least for another season.

“Frankly, I was eyeing a move to oversea,” admitted the 27 year old midfielder. “But now that I have decided to stay, I am only focused on winning a back-to-back league title and Asian Champions League title with Seoul.”
