Daegu Manager Moacir Pereira’s Future Is Still Not Clear

Daegu FC’s Brazilian manager Moacir Pereira’s future at the club is still undecided even though he spent a great season.

Daegu’s director Kim Jae-Ha stated in an interview with Sportal Korea that he has not made up his mind whether he will offer a contract renewal with the 52 year old Brazilian.

“He did produce good outcomes with relatively low budgets and inspired our players,” said Kim Jae-Ha. “But his failure to bring the team in the Split Group A and our financial hardships need to be considered.”

“He must be anxious about it, but we can’t make the decision now because the season is still continuing. The whole team could be disturbed.”

Moacir Pereira certainly changed Daegu into a dark horse, but Daegu seems to be burdened by the wage of the former Brazil U-23 assistant coach.

“We have four Brazilian coaches including Moacir himself at the moment. With our low budget, it is difficult to afford their wages.”
